Says Del Moro: "When I'm an old man I want to look back at all the amazing places I've been, not how many trophies are on my mantel." True to his words, "CDM" was raised in Florence, Italy; schooled in Los Angeles; attended college in Santa Cruz and then New Zealand. For now, he hangs his hat in Encinitas, CA. They say that rolling stones gather no moss – and that there’s no rest for the gifted. Whatever the cliché, Chris Del Moro is a rambling man who's fully committed to chiseling his definition of soul. CDM picks the Banjo, eats vegetarian and is the proud owner of a blind Pit-bull affectionately named, Sparky-Dickle. Einstein, Warhol and Marley are among his inspirations. He's been heavily influenced through his relationships with Ando, T. Moe, the Malloy Brothers, Rob Gilley and his Grandparents.

In between trotting the globe and making art, he parcels time for his lovely lady as well as his clothing line, Collectic. He also does philanthropy. In this regard, Chris is involved with the Sea Sheppard's and Surfers for Cetaceans named him their North American Representative. In a day's gig, you can spot Chris ripping on an Alaia, boosting on a shortboard and sliding on his Lovebird model from Bing. Not bad work if you can get it, right?

Chris is as giving and open minded as he is busy—except
when it comes to certain SUV's: "Treat others as you
would treat your mother," he always says, "unless they
drive a Hummer."
